CHRISTOPHER PAVLOV, musician and editor, has brought the joy of music to people at churches, hotels and retirement centres.

You may be familiar with The Royal Conservatory of Music from your music lessons as a child.  As an editor with its publishing branch from 1986 – 1990, Pavlov had the privilege of working on such new publications as the Celebration Piano Series® and the Guitar Series.

Academy Award® Winner composer Mychael Danna was on his agency’s roster, which Pavlov promoted to the Film and Television Industry in the early ’90s.  Although it did not achieve sales targets, the agency was an opportunity to spotlight fantastic talent.  Other inspiring composers included:  Michael Conway Baker, Brian Katz, Jim McGrath and Wendy Watson.  He had the good fortune to work with the late Milton Barnes and Harry Freedman.

The Yamaha School of Music (Excel Music Centre) gave him the opportunity for a year to tap the curiosity of students through teaching piano and music theory lessons.

A graduate of Western University, Pavlov studied with Deral Johnson, conductor and Peter Katin, pianist.  Prior he studied with pianists and organists:  James Hibbard and Sr. M. Noella.

He trained with Alpine Canada and the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance, and has taught at Banff Mount Norquay, Sunshine Village, Alberta and Hockley Valley Resort, Ontario.

Down syndrome touched his family and he served as the President of the Federation of Advocates for the Developmentally Disabled.
